What is the minimum GPA required to take a higher-level course, and what is the maximum I can take?
The course load of students with a GPA of 2.00 to 3.00 will be increased by two credits with the approval of the department head.
What is my GPA required to advance to the third year?
1.75
I took the exam again while studying at another university and was accepted to your faculty. Can I be exempt from the courses I took at the university I withdrew my registration from?
You can be exempted provided that the course content is approved by our faculty administration.
When can I apply for a course exemption?
Applications must be submitted within the "Course Registration Dates" specified in the Academic Calendar. You must submit a transcript of the courses you have taken, along with a petition requesting exemption from these courses, to the Faculty of Theology Student Affairs.
I want to freeze my registration. What should I do?
You must apply to the Dean's Office with a petition documenting your request to freeze your registration, documenting the reason for your excuse.
I want to cancel my registration from the faculty. What should I do?
You can cancel your registration by contacting the relevant officer in the Student Affairs Office.
How is the number of credits (course load) I can take in a semester determined?
Your GPA determines the number of course load periods you will be required to complete. The course load period you are enrolled in determines the number of credits you will receive. You may also be eligible to take additional courses, subject to the conditions specified in Article 11 of the regulations. Additional courses are not subject to credit calculation.
Summer School and Double Major
What is summer school?
It is an educational program offered during the summer break, outside the normal two semesters of an academic year.
How many credits/courses can I take in summer school?
The maximum number of courses a student can take and the minimum number of students required for courses to be offered are determined by the recommendation of the Department Head, the decision of our faculty board, and the approval of our university senate.
What can I do if the course I want to take in summer school is not offered at our university?
It is possible to apply to summer school at another university. However, for the courses to be accepted, approval must be obtained from the faculty board regarding their content and their compatibility with our faculty courses.
How many total courses can I take in summer school at another university?
This number is determined by the decision of the relevant university.
What is my GPA required to apply for a double major?
You must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 and be in the top 20% of your major program's academic standing.
When can I apply for a double major?
The earliest is at the beginning of the 3rd semester, and the latest is at the beginning of the 5th semester.

Regarding International Students
What are the requirements for exemption from the preparatory class?
Students who have graduated from an Arabic-medium high school abroad are exempt from the Arabic preparatory class, provided they present their high school diploma. Otherwise, they must take the exemption exam.
